FAST AMSA Summer League

FAST is a member of the Akron Metropolitan Swimming Association, which provides for a great option for our swimmers to also compete in a summer swim league. Meets are in yards and this is a great league for our Green, Learners & Explorers to get more competition experience over the summer, and a great way for everyone on the whole team in every group to compete and have fun during the summer week nights. FAST is providing this option to our swimmers who do not already have a summer league (AMSA, Country Club, JCC Splash League) to compete in. 

• Swimmers must be a member of the FAST USA Team to attend practices and compete in AMSA Meets. 
• Swimmers may only be a member of ONE (1) AMSA Team. 
• Swimmers wanting to compete in AMSA Champs ARE REQUIRED to compete in TWO (2) AMSA Dual Meets by AMSA League Rules. 

COST: $10.00 AMSA Membership--Fee will be applied to your FAST Account at the end of AMSA Season in July

AMSA VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS: AMSA requires us to host 2 home dual meets and provide workers for AMSA Champs

MEETS: Swimmers will declare to attend a meet. Coaches will be putting together the meet line-ups, as these meets are set up more like high school meets with a line-up and a maximum number of entries per team. 

WHO CAN SWIM: AMSA is open to the whole team Explorers to Senior Groupers who are still in high school. 

NOTE: AMSA is not affiliated with USA Swimming. Times from AMSA meets will not count towards USA Swimming and will not be entered into the USA Swimming SWIMS database.
